A stunning, Grade II-listed hotel recently restored to its former glory, The Half Moon is in a peaceful and picturesque location in south London, close to fantastic transport links ready to whisk you into central London. Herne Hill station is a short five-minute walk from The Half Moon, with the London Underground two minutes away by train.

Eating and drinking

We take pride in offering some of the finest food in Herne Hill. Our superb dishes throughout the week are prepared using the finest seasonal ingredients, which we source locally wherever possible.

Our ever-popular Steak Night offers amazing value, while during warmer months we’ll fire up the outdoor kitchen and serve up dishes from our BBQ menu. Sundays are also particularly special – our hearty traditional roasts with all the trimmings are extremely popular with locals.

The Half Moon offers a wide range of refreshing cold drinks at the bar. In addition to the award-winning Fuller’s cask ales and craft beers, we stock a selection of beers from two local breweries: Canopy Beer Co. and Bullfinch.

If you prefer grape to grain, we have you covered with a variety of handpicked wines from across the world – we’re very proud of our Wine List. Plus we serve delicious Brewer Street coffee and Suki tea, because we know a shot of caffeine comes in handy once in a while.
